So far we got 700+ members. Over 400+ PMs, HRs, etc. have participated in the survey. These folks already got the Survey Report - Round 1. The results will be updated as we progress. Some of the results are published below:
- 29% of the participants think that project is अ success if delivered on time,
- 72% of the initiated projects are completed,
- An average company has 125 projects per year, etc.

I have taken the survey and submitted my responses based on my last position within municipal government. I wish I had have had more time there to achieve my goal of getting the upper echelons to support PM and fully realize its potential. I thought it was going well, but they really wanted the software that produced 'the magic results' rather that learning the process first.
I would like to see a blog on PM the real world! I am a certified PMP and a 24 year veteran of the Royal navy where PM was paramount - although I did not know that at the time. I am now unemployed and looking for a position where I can share my skills as a PMP. However it seems that it is not a PM they require but 'subject mater experts'. I feel that a true PM is the individual with the open mind, worldly experience and knowledge to bring those 'experts' together and then by creating that team leading them to successfully achieve the requirement of the project using the PM tools and techniques in the 'toolbox'. I would be interested to see others thoughts on this. I have proven that a non technician can direct and lead technicians - I did as the Deputy Director I.S. - and produce excellent results. I would revel in the opportunity to speak publicly on this matter and if you need an outspoken motivated person to present this let me know.
