However, often we abuse this. Instead of utilizing our working time to generate new products and ideas, we are wasting it in some endless meetings. To keep your meetings short and successful:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Build agenda ahead of schedule.&lt;br /&gt;2. Invite only those who are related to the deliverables that are subject of the meeting.&lt;br /&gt;3. Involve all participants to build agenda.&lt;br /&gt;4. Have meetings on Tuesday' morning (if possible.) Tuesday is the first working day of the week.&lt;br /&gt;5. Have meetings in the room without chair.&lt;br /&gt;6. I apologize for the folks that were rejected.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some of you asked me questions about the participations, responsibilities, etc. Well, here are the answers. We are:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Trying to analyze the PM best practices, tools, and techniques,&lt;br /&gt;2. Recommending that you participate in the surveys and blogs so we could accomplish our&lt;br /&gt;    mission. &lt;strong&gt;No free ride.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you participate you will get results of the surveys and other material. Others... well I am not sure why did you join us if you do not want to participate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I few years ago I developed a theory called &lt;strong&gt;“Mushroom Management.”&lt;/strong&gt; In a few words, mushroom manager/team member is a fungus of a project/organization. Those who:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;a) Maintain status quo of the world, politically correct companies, and often large hierarchical companies with thousands of employees all over the globe. These are the companies who make their profit by cutting the cost of operation, instead of bringing new ideas to the markets.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;b) Bring fresh air, new ideas, products, solutions, new ways of doing and thinking. I call them politically incorrect companies.
