Project Management Expert™

Welcome!

The main objective of this group is to:

- Connect to project management practitioners around the world,
- Establish a network and/or focal point in order to,
- Develop and promote the project/program management innovative, out-of-box thinking, ideas,

solutions, and best practices tools and techniques.

Why?
The idea is to make “A NEXT STEP AFTER PMP® EXAM” framework. While we are all project managers, whether we like it or not, not all of us use all available tools and techniques while managing our projects. There are many reasons for that, such as:

- Desire to keep status quo,
- Lack of motivation to learn and/or change,
- Too much or too little information.

The PMBOK® lists a number of tools and technique. Let us elaborate on those existing ones and/or add/develop new ones. By providing an input, we will be able to add to existing project management framework a list of tools and techniques that will make our day-to-day efforts easier.

How?
We would like to reach out and get your input on the tools and techniques that you find useful and would like to recommend to other project management fellow members. I hope that we would, overtime, build a list of tools and techniques, and share that information among the group members and other interested parties. If some of you would like to write some training material and offer it as a part of the Project Management Expert™ certification, we would be very glad to consider such an offer. At this point we are looking for:

- Case studies for the project/program management tools that you currently use,
- Recommendations on project management best practices, and
- Other related information.

Our foundation for this effort is PMBOK® and existing Project Management Expert™ material. How far, we would take this project, depends on our desire to make a difference and a positive impact in today’ Global Economy.

Statement of Work
We could start from the PMBOK® concept of 44 processes within 9 knowledge areas and 5 process groups. If you are interested to write, you could sign up and take ownership of one process (or more processes, if you could handle that) and define tools and techniques that you see important and relevant. There is no dead line for your effort. However, commitment to quality (and time if possible) is required.

Communication
The best way to communicate is through:
Our Linkedin™ emails,
pme@eCGmn.com email, and
Blog – this blog.

Membership
Everyone is welcome, which means we would not be able to have physical meetings since most of our members are geographically dispersed. However, we could use some of the web conference solutions to share our research and findings in the future. While filling out your profile, enter us much or as little information as you want for your self promotion.

Disclosure
Please respect the copyright, intellectual property, good manners and privacy while communicating about the subject. We will follow the PMI’ code of conduct and professional ethics standard. If you do not want your findings to be shared with others, please do not send it to us.

Please do not use the contact information for unrelated solicitation (I guess if we need to buy a house, get a loan, or a car, we would be joining some other groups.)

This group is monitored and disorderly members will be put on probation and/or removed in order to protect the interest of the group and its members.

Again, thank you very much for your support. We look forward working with you in the future.

Mike Marco, MBA/PMP/PME
